14th Annual Wild & Scenic

®

 Film Festival

Friday, November 18, 2016 Happy hour 5 p.m. / Program begins 6:30 p.m. Hosted by CAFE at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts 282 S. High Street, Sebastopol, CA (Map) The Wild & Scenic Film Festival sits apart from the hundreds of festivals around the world by leaving you feeling INSPIRED and MOTIVATED to go out and make a difference in your community and the world. As a festival by activists and for activists, Wild & Scenic has organized and built a community to protect and restore the rivers of our home watershed, from source to sea. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival puts our local work and yours too into the broader environmental and social context, and serves to remind us that were participants in a global movement for a more wild and scenic world. At our festival, you'll witness how individuals and communities across the globe are taking action and becoming part of the solution on issues ranging from energy, food systems, biodiversity, climate change and the protection and restoration of wild lands and wild waters. You'll experience the adrenaline of kayaking the wildest rivers, climbing the highest peaks and trekking across the globe with adventure films from around the world. You'll explore the issues and movements with leading environmental activists and professionals, and filmmakers. The festival will begin with a happy hour at 5pm, movies begin at 6:30, followed by an intermission with a raffle & silent auction, and a second film viewing ending at 9pm. There will be beer, wine, and the Ultra Crepes Food Truck throughout the entire evening! All money generated will be supporting Conservation Action Fund For Education: A Sonoma County non-profit that seeks to educate, engage and empower the public on issues that concern sustainability and the environment right here in the North Coast region of California. Condensed Schedule: Environmental Fair and Happy Hour 5:00 p.m. Evening Films Begin 6:30 p.m. Information about the films Tickets: General Admission (All Day Pass) $20 each Event Ticket/Food/Drink Package $40 each Purchase tickets online via Brown Paper Tickets Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $25 or Contact Siobhan Kelly at CAFE (707-571-8566 -- siobhan@conservationaction.org)
