OUR 2017 30TH ANNUAL EVENT OF THE HEART WAS A GREAT SUCCESS
250 people enjoyed an evening featuring a “champagne” reception
with Roederer sparkling wine, hors d’oeuvres and special music by
Majide!, dinner by Ellery Clark accompanied by wine from Jaxon
Keys and Frey, an exciting live auction conducted by Sheriff Tom
Allman, and dancing to the Johnny Young band.
MCAVHN was fortunate to find new sponsors, Orr Hot Springs
Resort, the George and Ruth Bradford Foundation, the Hunger
Express, and Brigham Law to join returning sponsors UVMC,
Coyote Valley Casino, Savings Bank, Mariposa Market, Pacific
Redwood Medical Group, Doug Crane, Danny Schott, and
Anonymous. We thank all of these supporters as well as the
many generous individuals in the community who made cash
donations
We are grateful to the donors who contributed their art, their products, and their services to the
live and silent auctions and to Sheriff Allman for serving as a most compelling auctioneer.
Finally, thanks to all the volunteers who helped from reception to wine pourers to security to
cleanup. That capable crew contributed greatly to the evening’s smooth flow. Thanks especially to
Steve Cook, Fernando Valazquez and Don Popowski for obtaining auction items.
